Bet tennis fans that have watched Americans play at Roland Garros in recent years surely are familiar with the tennis betting curse that seems to be the American contingency.
Last year was a complete disaster with no single American making any round of significance contrary to many bet tennis predictions before the tournament began. This year, with several tennis bet hopefuls in the men’s and women’s play, the Americans will be looking to do whatever it takes to overcome last year’s awful tennis betting play.
Bet tennis opportunities at the French Open are many and with all the great talent in the bet tennis tournament it’s often easy to overlook lesser rated players as the players from the US obviously did in the tennis betting last year. Andy Roddick and James Blake were expected to compete for the bet tennis title last year and did absolutely horrific. Neither had any success and their French Open bet tennis experience was brief, to say the least.
On the women’s side of play the Williams sisters looked to be in good from the bet tennis competition as well. Although playing with some minor injuries the sisters were Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde-ish as they great one bet tennis match and awful the next. Needless to say, the injuries proved too much and neither had any success in the tennis betting.
But 2008 is a new year and there is new hope that the Americans might finally break through in the bet tennis event this year. Roddick has been very strong so far this year, with inconsistency still being his biggest bet tennis obstacle. James Blake has not gotten off the start he had perhaps hoped for in this bet tennis season but the French Open would be the prefect coming out party. Blake is a thinking man player and that could get him far in this type of bet tennis tournament.
On the lady’s side Serena will enter the bet tennis French Open on fire. She is playing some her most consistent tennis in year’s and if defending champ Justine Henin isn’t completely fit she could have some major troubles if she faces former champ Serena in the bet tennis action. Venus has taken a break from bet tennis action, but is hopeful that she’ll be back in time for the French Open where she could surprise.
