Betting Wimbledon Men’s Odds at SBG Global

April 22nd, 2021 Tennis Betting

Betting Wimbledon on the men’s side in recent years has seen Roger Federer the favorite. Usually Federer is so heavily favored in Wimbledon tennis betting odds that not many other players get any attention.

While Federer is still a serious threat to win for gamblers Wimbledon in 2009, he is not the overwhelming favorite as in past years.

Wimbledon last year saw Federer lose to Rafael Nadal in an upset. Federer had ruled at Wimbledon for five years before Nadal upset him in Wimbledon tennis betting last year. The classic match went five sets as Nadal eventually triumphed in Wimbledon tennis betting. He won 6-4, 6-4, 6-7 (5-7), 6-7 (8-10), 9-7 for those that took him when  Wimbledon.

Federer and Nadal are likely to attract most of the attention from those Wimbledon this year. There just are not a lot of contenders in Wimbledon tennis betting other than Federer and Nadal. But there is little doubt that Andy Murray will again be a longshot choice of many people that are Wimbledon. Murray gets a lot of attention when it comes to gamblers Wimbledon although it is not deserved. People in Britain want to see Murray win so his odds are lower than they really should be. Wagering against Federer or Nadal when betting Wimbledon has simply not been a good choice.

When Wimbledon it is always interesting to look for a longshot. The problem with doing that is that it hasn’t worked with Federer dominating for so long. Perhaps that will change now that Federer is on the back side of his career. Murray is ranked 3rd in the world as sports betting statistics show, but his betting Wimbledon odds are too low. Novak Djokovic is the fourth ranked player in the world as online betting numbers tell us but he has yet to prove he can win on a regular basis. Juan Martin del Potro is ranked #5 and he hasn’t shown much in his career. Andy Roddick always attracts attention from gamblers betting Wimbledon but he may be the most overrated tennis player in history. The rest of the top ten doesn’t inspire much confidence either for online betting gamblers as Gilles Simon, Fernando Verdasco, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Gael Monfils haven’t had a lot of success.

Most sports betting gamblers will look to Federer or Nadal when they bet Wimbledon and that seems to be a wise choice.
