Federer and Williams Win in Tennis Betting

April 21st, 2021 Tennis Betting

Tennis betting had the two favorites winning the Australian Open as Roger Federer rolled on the men’s side while Serena Williams got through to win on the women’s side. Federer had a pretty easy time as he beat Andy Murray in three sets while Serena needed three sets to win in tennis odds against Justine Henin.

Tennis betting had Federer winning easily against Andy Murray in the final.  It was much different than last year for Federer who lost in five sets to Rafael Nadal.  Federer has shown everyone that he is still the best in tennis betting.  He starts the season with a Grand Slam win and now has a chance to become the first player to win the calendar-year Slam since 1969. “I’m over the moon winning this again,” Federer said, “I played some of my best tennis in my life these last two weeks. It’s also very special — the first Grand Slam as a father.”

Federer will head into the French Open in May as the defending champion and the favorite in tennis odds.  Nadal is normally great at the French but he is injured and it is unclear when he will return and how well he will play when he does.  Federer said before this tournament began that he felt he could dominate in men’s tennis this season.  If the first tournament is any indication, tennis odds are going to favor him by a lot in every tournament he enters. “Now I feel, like, obviously I’m being pushed a great deal by the new generation coming up.” Federer said, “They’ve made me a better player, because I think this has been one of my finest performances in a long time, or maybe forever.”  The Australian Open was the 22nd Grand Slam Final for Federer. He has been in 18 of the last 19.

On the women’s side, it was Serena Williams winning in tennis betting at the Australian Open. It was the second straight year she has won the year’s first Grand Slam in tennis odds. She was able to get by Henin in tennis betting in three tough sets. Williams has five Australian Open titles. “It was definitely a tough match mentally and physically,” Williams said. “We were both out there to prove something, and I think we did at the end of the day.” Unlike the men’s side, the women’s side is going to be competitive in tennis betting.  Henin was the #1 player in the world when she retired and she has already proven in just her second tournament back, she is going to be a force in tennis betting.
