Nadal Is the New King of Tennis Betting

Nadal Is the New King of Tennis Betting.  In years past we’ve seen the headlines and heard the pundits that have proclaimed the reign of Swiss Tennis great Roger Federer at an end. But over that same time period we’ve seen Federer bounce back and storm though the tournament seedings and even a few Grand Slam events to claim his place right back atop the tennis odds competition.

But not this time. Federer now sits at #3 in the world rankings, the lowest ranking he’s had in more than six years and it doesn’t look he’ll ever get back to the #1 spot.  But it’s not so much a failure of his own play –which has been declining over the course of this season- but because the new #1 in the world rankings is simply playing at a level far above anyone else at the moment.

We’re talking about the young Spaniard Raphael Nadal, of course.

Right now Nadal is playing the game of tennis as well as anyone in the history of the sport has played it.  He is coming off a stunning victory at the US Open tennis betting odds competition, a Grand Slam event where he hardly broke a sweat and displayed a new mastery of his serve that will make him almost impossible to defeat.

For many tennis odds bettors it may seem as if Nadal has been around forever.  And truth is told he’s been at the top tier of tennis competition for the past four years.  But the fact remains that at 24 years old he’s just hitting his prime and likely has 4-5 great years of tennis ahead of him.

And at this young age he’s already accomplished some of the biggest feats in tennis history.  For example, he’s one of just three players in the Modern Open Era to have won a career Grand Slam winning the biggest events in tennis betting on four different surfaces.  That’s something Becker, McEnroe, Connors, Lendl or any other tennis great has ever done.

He’s also got 9 Grand Slam titles in the bag and could certainly take a shot as Federer’s career record of 16 Slam titles.

But having won 3 of the 4 Grand Slams this year, it’s safe to say, that at present, he is undeniably the best tennis player in the world.
