Tennis Betting Around the Word at SBG Global

April 14th, 2021 Tennis Betting

Tennis betting at sportsbooks around the world begins in January and continues right through the end of the year with tournaments on the men’s and women’s side. Placing a tennis bet is extremely easy to do and to understand.Tennis betting has two basic options. You can bet on a player before a tournament begins to win that tournament. You can also play tennis betting matchups that the sportsbook puts up throughout the tournament.

Let’s consider both of these tennis betting options. The first tennis betting option has you taking a player to win a tournament. The odds could be anywhere from 3-1 to 100-1 or more. You may also see heavy tennis betting odds of 3-5 or less on a player like Roger Federer. Placing a tennis bet on a player to win a tournament is really a future bet.

You are risking a certain amount of money, hoping that the player wins the tournament. For example, you could bet on Justine Henin to win a women’s tournament at odds of 5-1. If you bet $100 on Henin and she won the tournament you would win $500. You could also choose to bet multiple players to win a tournament and hope to make money if one of the long-shots won the tourney.

The other main tennis betting option is the matchup. This is where you bet one player against another. The sportsbook puts these tennis betting matchups up as the tournament progresses. Sometimes you will see early round matchups but usually the sportsbooks wait until the quarterfinals, semifinals and Final. A Tennis betting matchup might have Federer -200 and Nadal +170. You would risk $200 to win $100 on Federer for this tennis bet or you would risk $100 to win $170 on Nadal. You can obviously risk a lower or higher amount but you still get the 1-2 price on Federer and the 17-10 price on Nadal.

Tennis betting matchups are where most gamblers look to win money when placing a tennis bet. The value can be found on a tennis betting matchup where it sometimes is difficult to find on a future bet. It is also easier to win a matchup since you are only betting against one player, not the entire field. Take a look at the matchups that are offered on tennis tournaments today.
