Tennis Betting: French Open Preview and Tips to Bet .  The 2011 tennis betting season has been flying by. With the Aussie Open already in the bag and now Indian Wells and Key Biscayne both in the history books it’s almost time for the second Grand Slam of the year. This year the French Open should be one of the most exciting we’ve seen in awhile.  On the men’s side of the draw it doesn’t take a genius to realize who the man to beat in the tennis odds are.

World #1 Raphael Nadal is all but unbeatable on the clay court and has practically made Roland Garros his second home.  He’s won this event 5 times, one short of the modern record set by Bjorn Borg (6 wins) and is favored to match that mark this year.

When the tennis betting action gets underway in a few weeks Nadal will may be the overwhelming favorite but he’ll have plenty of competition, namely the red hot Novak Djokovik.  Djokovik has been unbeatable this year, quite literally.  He’s a perfect 24-0 this season and has won all four tournaments that he’s entered.  What’s even more remarkable is that he’s beaten current world #3 (and former #2, until being overtaken by Djokovic in the rankings) at three events and defeated Nadal in finals of the last two tournaments he’s entered.

Granted, all of the Serb’s win this year have been on the hard courts, his preferred surface, but any time you beat the top ranked player in the world in back to back finals you’re doing something right.

Nadal is hands down the best clay court player in the world and of his era and he is not going to give up is French Open tennis odds title easily, but if anyone can take down the champ its Djokovic.  He’s playing with a tremendous amount of confidence and skill that right now he’s unbeatable.

And don’t count out Federer either.
The Swiss maestro’s game is better suited for grass and hard courts but he’s won at Roland Garros before and with all the pressure seemingly on Nadal and Djokovic Federer might just sneak in the back to the finals and claim his 17th career Grand Slam title.

It’s hard to say who will come out on top in this year’s French Open tennis betting action, but with the top players in the world all executing at a high level right now it makes for some very interesting competition.
