What Makes it so Special to Bet on the US Open?

April 5th, 2021 Tennis Betting

Bet on the US Open once and you’re bound to do it again. It is an experience unrivaled in the world of Grand Slam tennis and US Open betting is an experience that is uniquely American.  Grand Slam betting is rare event that shouldn’t be missed in any event but that might be especially so for a bet on the US Open.

To bet on the US Open is one of those rare occasions in sports betting where culture and sport intersect. And surely that might sound a bit absurd to some people, but most likely they have never bet on the US Open. And that is not to suggest that the US Open betting is the apex of the American cultural experience either. But what it does suggest is that compared to any other sporting event, a bet on the US Open brings out the American experience much more so than just about any other US sporting event.

Perhaps it’s the duration of the bet on the US Open period that helps extend this feeling. After all the other events that are supposedly reflective of the US (the golf US Open, for example) are only several days in length. Whereas, US Open betting is a full two weeks of action and bet on the US Open opportunities not only abound, but dominate the sporting world.

Or perhaps it’s the location of the bet on the US Open event. New York is not only the cultural center of the US, but it has often been called the capital of the world. And certainly the Big Apple is nothing if not a show piece of the hodge-podge American culture. The action on the US Open has come to represent this year in and year out.

Compared to the far richer and longer aged cultures of France and Spain, obviously it’s a bit cheeky to claim that the US Open betting event is cultural treasure trove in comparison. But as far as US sporting event exhibiting what the essence of the sporting culture here means, you would be hard pressed to find a better representation than a wager on the US Open.

For two weeks at the end of the summer sports fan of every persuasion come to Queens to watch the best tennis players in the world and to wager on the US Open and it is one of the most beautiful exhibitions of culture and sport intersecting anywhere in the country.
