Diaz a 2-1 Favorite in UFC 118 Betting vs. Davis

March 22nd, 2021 UFC Betting

Nate Diaz is a 2-1 favorite in UFC 118 betting as he faces Marcus Davis. The bout is one of five on the featured card in UFC 118 odds for the event at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts on Saturday, August 28th.

UFC 118 betting is highlighted by the rematch between Frank Edgar and BJ Penn but the bout between Diaz and Davis might end up being a better one.  Diaz is the favorite in the bout against Davis but Davis will have the home crowd edge as he trains 10 minutes away from the Garden.  Davis also has a puncher’s chance as he has excellent power.  He will throw some bombs and hope to connect in his bout against Diaz.  Coming into this bout, Davis has a record of 17-6 including 9-4 in the UFC.  Diaz is 12-5 overall and 7-3 in the UFC.

UFC 118 betting favored Penn by better than 3-1 in his bout against Edgar. It is a quick turnaround fight from UFC 112 when Edgar shocked Penn to win the lightweight championship.  Also on the main card it is Randy Couture a huge favorite against James Toney. It is a matchup between the UFC veteran and the former boxing star.  Not many people believe that Toney has much of a chance as Couture is -700 in UFC 118 odds. The main card of UFC 118 also includes a fight between Gray Maynard and Kenny Florian. This could be one of the most competitive fights of the night with Florian a -145 favorite. The other bout on the main card has Demian Maia favored against Mario Miranda in a middleweight fight.  It could be that the Diaz vs. Davis and Maynard vs. Florian bouts are the most competitive of the five on the main card.

There are six fights on the preliminary card, two of which are scheduled to be shown on TV.  It is Nick Osipczak a slight favorite against Greg Soto, John Salter vs. Dan Miller, Gerald Harris vs. Joe Vedepo, Andre Winner vs. Nick Lentz, Joe Lauzon vs. Gabe Ruediger and Mike Pierce vs. Amilcar Alves. The two bouts that will be televised on Spike TV are Lauzon vs. Ruediger and Winner vs. Lentz.
