UFC 109 betting slightly favors Matt Serra as he faces Frank Trigg in UFC 109 on Saturday February 6th. Serra is always popular in UFC odds but he is only a small favorite in this fight against Trigg. There are 11 UFC betting fights in UFC 109 headlined by the bout between Randy Couture and Mark Coleman.
UFC betting has Matt Serra facing Trigg in what should be a very competitive fight. Serra is a former welterweight champion who has fought many of the big names in the UFC including Georges St-Pierre, BJ Penn and others. He is coming off a big battle with Matt Hughes last time out. Trigg has also fought Hughes in the past and overall Trigg has won four of his last five bouts in UFC betting.
This should be a great UFC betting fight to watch. Both fighters love to mix it up and they both talk a big game. “Frank is a dangerous guy. He’s an exciting fighter,” Serra said. “I always thought that he would be an interesting guy to fight. On top of that, he just has one of those faces that you want to punch.” Trigg had an opinion of Serra as well. “I became a fan of Matt when he fought Shonie Carter” he said. “He was brutally stopped in that fight but bounced back and picked up some big wins. He’s a former champ, so you have to respect that. He also carries a lot of brass but certainly not too much class.”
Serra and Trigg would both prefer to be fighting for a title but they can’t complain too much since they are on the main card in UFC betting. Serra really wants another shot at Hughes in UFC betting action. Trigg is coming off a bad loss in UFC betting to Josh Koscheck in UFC 103.
UFC betting has Serra and Trigg on the main card in addition to four other fights. It is Couture favored in UFC odds over Coleman, Nate Marquardt favored in UFC odds against Chael Sonnen, Paulo Thiago vs. Mike Swick and Demian Maia favored in UFC odds against Dan Miller.
The Spike TV card in UFC betting has Melvin Guillard vs. Ronnys Torres and Justin Buchholz vs. Mac Danzig. The preliminary UFC betting card has Tim Hague vs. Chris Tuchscherer, Brian Stann vs. Phil Davis, Mostapha Al-turk vs. Rolles Gracie and Phillipe Nover vs. Rob Emerson.
