UFC 109 betting includes a fight that could go under the radar between Phil Davis and Brian Stann. While it might not be on the marquee it could be one of the best fights on the UFC odds board. UFC 109 betting on Saturday, February 6th features 11 bouts for UFC 109, headlined by Randy Couture taking on Mark Coleman. That bout is one of five on the main pay-per-view card in UFC odds. The one between Davis and Stann is not on the main card and that is too bad since it could be a great one. Davis won the NCAA wrestling championship in 2008. He will be making his debut in UFC 109 betting. He is 4-0 in MMA fights and he faces former World Extreme Cagefighting champion Brian Stann who is 8-2 in his MMA fights. Stann is 2-1 in UFC action having won his last two after losing his debut.
Davis comes into this UFC 109 betting bout with a great resume. He was great in college and actually fought Jake Rosholt a few years back. “Winning the NCAA championship, for me it was a beginning,” said Davis, “For me it says this is how good you are, you can accomplish your dreams if you stay after it. For me that was one of my dreams just to win a NCAA championship. Now I have to repeat that same type of success in the rest of my life.” Davis has been training at the Alliance Training Center in San Diego and American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose. He has had four MMA fights and has looked good.
Stann has transferred to Greg Jackson’s Academy so he could be a much better fighter. Stann is a fan favorite in UFC odds since he got the Silver Star while serving in the Marines. A great wrestler making his debut against a war hero, it sounds like a great fight in UFC 109 betting.
The UFC 109 betting card has Coleman and Couture on the main card in addition to Nate Marquardt vs. Chael Sonnen. It will also be Mike Swick vs. Paulo Thiago in UFC 109 betting, Demian Maia vs. Dan Miller and Matt Serra vs. Frank Trigg. The UFC odds on the preliminary card have the bout between Stann and Davis, Mac Danzig vs. Justin Buchholz, Melvin Guillard vs. Ronnys Torres, Phillipe Nover vs. Rob Emerson, Chris Tuchscherer vs. Tim Hague and Rolles Gracie vs. Mostapha Al-turk.
