UFC betting favors Amir Sadollah in his bout against Phil Baroni on Saturday in UFC 106. Sadollah is about a 2-1 favorite in UFC betting in this bout that is critical to both fighters. Those that bet on UFC will notice that this is one of five bouts on the main card.
UFC betting has seen Sadollah in action just once in the last year or so as he lost to Johny Hendricks at UFC 101. Baroni has not fought in UFC betting since UFC 51 back in 2005. “Pride comes in as far as my first back in the UFC, and I don’t want to lose,” Baroni said. “I don’t want to lose any fight in the UFC and don’t want to lose this one for sure.” The loss for Baroni in UFC betting in UFC 51 was his fourth in a row and it spelled the end for him in the UFC for a while. Baroni went 8-6 in different organizations after UFC.
Baroni may have the experience edge but Sadollah has the edge in talent in this UFC betting fight. The question is how ready he is to fight. “For sure, it would have been nice to have a little bit more activity in that time, but again, both times I had to pull out of fights, they were immediately before, so it was an active year for me,” he said. “Just a normal year, but without a fight.”
Both Baroni and Sadollah want to make an immediate statement so this UFC betting bout should have immediate action. “I’m definitely going to have to push the pace and be cautious at the same time, without giving too much detail,” Sadollah said. “That should always be the plan, but I think it will especially be important here.”
It is somewhat surprising to see the Sadollah vs. Baroni bout on the main portion of the UFC betting card. This card has undergone a lot of changes though and is not the best one on paper in terms of UFC betting. That doesn’t mean that those that bet on UFC 106 won’t find some value and some excitement. This fight could be a good one and that is all most those that bet on UFC 106 are looking for.
Headlining UFC betting on Saturday is the bout between Tito Ortiz and Forrest Griffin. It is Griffin the slight UFC betting favorite. There are a total of 10 bouts for those that bet on UFC 106 to consider including the previous mentioned Ortiz vs. Griffin and Sadollah vs. Baroni.
