MMA fans have been spoiled by the unbelievable matchups that they’ve seen in recent months and they have the tendency to grumble if they don’t get the big names they want in the UFC Main Events and the upcoming UFC 120 betting matchups have not been well received b much of the betting public.
After starting off the 2010 calendar year with dream matchup after dream matchup in the UFC Main Events -or at the very least a star studded lineup even if there were no great matchups- that if there isn’t a world champion or a legend of the sport, MMA fans are quick to write the event off or avoid it all together. The UFC 120 odds action doesn’t have any champion or huge name in the lineup but it might just be some of the best fighting that UFC fans are going to see all year. Too often anymore the UFC has been all style and little substance. Sure there have been some incredible matchups, with huge names in recent UFC Main Events but when the last time that you saw a fight in one of these contests that blew your mind.
Generally when the champions come out they make quick work of their opponents and take care of business. Or when a legend of the sport steps into the Octagon, they’re great at selling tickets, but generally about 5 years and 20 pounds past their fighting prime and embarrass themselves.
In the upcoming UFC 120 betting action there are not a lot of recognizable names to the average UFC fan. And the names that are known are not exactly legends of the sport. Unlike the UFC 119 action there are no champions or former champions in the UFC 120 betting action either. And while that may turn some people off the truth of the matter is, the UFC 120 just might be some of the best fighting that we’ve seen at a UFC Main Event in some time.
On October 16th when the action finally gets underway in London, England you may not recognize many of the fighters but you’ll certainly recognize the high level of competition and fighting talent once the bell rings.
