For all the MMA fans out there that were disgusted by the weak lineup and the weak showing at the recent UFC 120 event in London, hold your harsh judgments as the Dana White and has his boys have more than redeemed that inexcusable event by booking one of the blockbuster fights of the year in the upcoming UFC 121 odds competition.
The October 23rd UFC 121 betting Main Event will not only be one of the interesting lineups from top to bottom but the featured fight just be the best matchup –at least on paper- that MMA fans have seen all year.
When the action finally gets underway this Saturday in Anaheim, CA we’ll get a chance to see a real life clash of the titans when UFC heavyweight champion of the world Brock Lesnar takes on one of the top heavyweight challengers in the world.
Cain Velasquez, ranked as the #4 heavyweight in the world be no less than Sherdog is a perfect 8-0 in his MMA career and undefeated to this point –something not even Lesnar can boast. Not only has Velasquez not lost a fight, he’s never even lost a round of MMA action. That record will be put to the toughest test yet when he climbs in the Octagon versus Lesnar in the UFC 121 odds action.
Lesnar actually has less experience in the Octogan than Velasquez with a career UFC record of just 4-1. However, any fan going to partake in the UFC 121 betting action knows that’s no reason to sell this beast of a man short. Aside from his debut loss to former heavyweight champion Frank Mir, Lesnar has destroyed his opposition (including a rematch with Mir).
But Velasquez may be one of his toughest matches yet and his UFC 121 odds competition will be much more difficult than just a mere formality. Velasquez is a powerful fighter and tremendous striker. His 8 wins include 7 KOs all by punches and Lesnar must be wary of the young man’s punching power.
However, both of these fighters come from a wrestling background and very similar in fighting styles.
Lesnar has the advantage in terms of power and reach and should be favored in this fight, but this has the potential to be one of the great UFC matchups of all time.
