UFC 122 Betting Preview: Main Card Full Of Interesting Matchups

February 9th, 2021 UFC Betting

Trying to follow the amazing UFC Main Event we just witnessed with the heavyweight title changing hands in an electric bout between superstars Brock Lesnar and Cain Velasquez is all but impossible but that’s exactly what the UFC 122 betting event will need to do.

Almost no matchup will be able to top what fans were treated to when these two enormous men beat each other’s brains in a round of action last month.

But the UFC 122 odds lineup also has some interesting matchups and there’s no doubt that sports fans will find something to their liking when the UFC 122 betting action gets underway on November 13th at the Konig Pilsner Arena in Oberhausen Germany.

The headline matchup in this even is hardly at the superstar level, but UFC Main Events in foreign countries rarely feature the top names in the sport.  In Germany Nate Marquardt will take on Yushin Okami in the UFC 122 odds Main Event action.

Okami (25-5) was originally scheduled to fight Brazilian Vitor Belfort in what would have been a very interesting match indeed.  However, Belfort wisely pulled out of the event to face middle weight champ Anderson Silva.  That opened the door for Marquardt in what should be an in interesting matchup.  The winner of this UFC 122 betting main event will allegedly receive a title shot against Silva.

Another top matchup on the Main Card includes Jorge “el Conquistador” Rivera (18-7) against a much younger Alessio Sakara.  At 38 years of age Rivera is hardly in his fighting prime and this match is set up to give maximum glory to Sakara the Italian to make him a European star.  But the truth is Sakara isn’t that good.  With a record of 15-7-1 Rivera doesn’t have much to fear.

But the hometown crowd will all be there to cheer on their native son, Dennis Siver a Russian-German lightweight who will be looking to win on his native soil for the first time in his UFC career.  Siver has fought in 9 UFC events and has a career record of 16-7.  But he’s never fought in a UFC event in Germany and when he takes the Octagon in Oberhausen to fight Englishman Andre Winner he’ll finally get that opportunity.
