Clay Guida might not have any UFC betting title implications but it should nonetheless be a very compelling battle. Two very gifted technical fighters, this UFC betting match up could be the sleeper event during the bet on UFC 94 event.
UFC betting lightweights don’t often get the attention they deserve but the bet on UFC 94 will be all about the smaller fighters as the main event is a welterweight match up and not a single heavyweight fight will be featured in the January 31st UFC betting showdown. The only lightweight fight on the main card will feature these two very dynamic fighters and should give the UFC betting fans their money’s worth.
Diaz is a relative newcomer to the UFC betting circles but has shown glimpses of brilliance so far in his brief stint in MMA. Trained in the Gracie tradition of the Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Diaz is a very strong technical fighter and very good when the action gets to the mat. He’s just 23 years old but has already compiled a 10-2 record and has won his last five UFC betting events in a row. He enters the bet on UFC 94 event with a ton of confidence and the results to back him up. But he’ll be playing with fire if he tries to take Guida on the mat in this very compelling UFC betting match up.
Guida is one of the few wrestling specialists in the UFC betting. He’s a one trick pony and early on in his career this served him very well. But in recent matches his UFC betting limitations have been exploited and he’s been on a bit of a skid lately as the bet on UFC 94 event approaches. With a career record of 23-9, he’s just 3-3 over his past six UFC betting matches.
If Diaz can keep his feet, his reach advantage and martial arts skills should be enough to defeat Guida. At a very minimum, Diaz should escape with a decision in this UFC betting fight, but if he gets too aggressive and exposes himself to a Guida takedown the match could get very interesting and shift the UFC betting odds in favor of the wrestler. But Diaz seems to be the clear favorite in this battle.
