One of the lesser publicized UFC 97 odds math ups is between light heavy weights Steve Cantwell and Luis Cane, neither one a household name heading into the UFC 97 betting contest.
UFC betting will be full of big names and star power –for the most part. However, with a good showing in the UFC odds one of these fighters could raise their stock tremendously. UFC 97 betting experts are having a difficult time handicapping this match up simply based upon the lack of professional fights to draw from. These two fighters are some of the least experienced in the UFC betting lineup with just four UFC bouts between them heading into the UFC betting odds. Cantwell is undefeated in his UFC career, with a perfect 1-0 record heading into the UFC 97 betting competition. He’s a skilled technical fighter and probably the best submission specialist in the UFC 97 odds lineup. In his brief 8 bout career he’s won four of his seven victories by submission moves, something his opponent must be wary of.
Cane has seen plenty of submission moves in his day and will no doubt be ready for his UFC 97 betting opponent. Coming from Brazil, practically the birth place of the submission move, there should be little surprise in Cantwell’s bag of tricks for the Cane. Cane has a slight advantage in UFC experience as the UFC 97 betting event will be his fourth UFC event of his career. He’s 2-1 in his career in UFC matches and will be looking to run that record to 3-1 after the UFC 97 betting is all said and done. A very skilled striker, Cane’s victories are nearly all from TKO although he is very skilled at the submission arts as well.
This should be a very interesting fight and could be one of the more intriguing match ups. Cane seems to be the more versatile and experienced fighter in this UFC 97 betting match up. Although Cantwell’s submission skills are strong, Cane should be ready and able to counter them. Expect Cane to keep the match on its feet and look for a TKO or KO on his UFC 97 betting opponent.
