You have the choice of betting on a fighter to win the bout in UFC betting or you can bet on UFC with the rounds option which is basically an over/under on how long you think the fight will last.
UFC betting has money lines that look similar to what you see in baseball. There is no pointspread and you are just betting one fighter against the other or you are betting on how many rounds a fight will go. Let’s look at an example. Let’s say a marquee fight had one fighter at -150 and the other fighter at +120. That means you are laying $150 to win $100 on the favorite or the 15 to 10 equivalent or you are getting +120 for every $100 or the 12-10 equivalent.
With the rounds option in UFC betting you might see the round total at 1.5. You might see the under at -150 and the over at +130. In this UFC betting rounds option you would be risking $150 to win $100 on the under or the 15/10 equivalent. If you bet the under in UFC betting you would risk $100 to win $130 or the 10/13 equivalent. To win the over as you bet on UFC with this bout, the fight would have to last more than half way through the second round. On the other hand, to win the under in UFC betting, the fight would have to last less than half way through the second round. Most major title fights in UFC betting are scheduled for five rounds while fights on the undercard are set for three rounds.
As you consider the rounds option you want to look at the type of fighters and their styles. And don’t forget about past results in UFC betting. Some fighters win quickly by knockout or submission while others take longer. If you have two fighters that look to throw a lot of punches and land big shots you should know that the under is worth a shot in UFC betting.
Much of the time in UFC betting, people are betting on one fighter or another. They don’t bet the rounds option much as they bet on UFC but you can. Oftentimes the rounds option is a great way to bet on UFC and make money.
