UFC Betting vs. Boxing Betting at SBG Global

January 18th, 2021 UFC Betting

UFC Betting vs. Boxing Betting at SBG Global.  In the world of fighting sports there are two dominant bodies: UFC and boxing betting. One, UFC , a relatively new sport while the other, boxing betting, is one of the oldest sports around. And now, as it seems that boxing is on the way out, and opportunities to bet on UFC on the rise, it appears inevitable that UFC will overtake boxing on the popularity scale.

When you compare UFC to boxing betting it’s not easy to see why the mixed martial arts are drawing fans to bet on UFC at a much faster rate than boxing. The biggest draw for many fans that bet on UFC fighting is the fact that there are so many fighting disciplines represented. In boxing you can simply use the hands and throw punches, but in UFC  you can use every part of the body. Also in UFC you can punch as well as kick, trip, elbow and even wrestle, something that sets UFC betting much apart from boxing.

Boxing fans tend to purists that remember the hey days of the sport but in terms of young fans there is little appeal to boxing and for that reason many fans are choosing to bet on UFC. The major problem for boxing is that unlike UFC , there are no real up and coming fighters. The young boxers that are skilled are mostly in the lower weight classes and in contrast to UFC there are no gifted heavyweights to carry the sport anymore.

With the rise of UFC betting and the top fighting talent choosing to fight in MMA style fights rather than boxing, it’s hard not to picture a future in which UFC far out paces boxing as the top fighting sport in the land with UFC  much more popular than the sweet science.

Boxing is old. UFC is young. And it breaks down to a divide as simple as that. Boxing has had great days in the past, but it’s time has come and it’s now UFC betting’s day. With a huge future ahead on the horizon and top athletes coming up in the ranks every day, UFC is already well on it’s way -if it’s not already there- of overtaking boxing as the top fighting sport out there.
