UFC fans have been spoiled in terms of choice and quality of the product that is consistently produced at the UFC betting odds event.
But none of these UFC events can hold a candle to the incredible action that went down at the UFC 100 in Las Vegas. Online sports betting sites had been hyping this one of a kind opportunity for months and in a rare event for UFC betting odds –or any betting odds for that matter- it actually lived up to the hype.
UFC gurus had been waiting for months for this dream event to take place. The UFC betting odds makers had deliberated over the action for an equal amount of time and the promotional machinery had been in high gear whipping the UFC public into a frenzy. There was absolutely no way that this event –the biggest UFC event in history- would live up to the hype, but somehow it did.
The event got off to a good start. The UFC fans saw middleweight Dan Henderson deliver a knockout blow to British Michael Bisbing in the third round. The main events that followed were even better and UFC betting fans got enough action to last two lifetimes. There were several other top fights on the main betting card but the two events that every fan was dying to see stole the show.
UFC enthusiasts saw deadly Georges St. Pierre prove once again that he has to be included in any discussion regarding the best pound for pound fighter on the planet. Time and time again the media tries to predict his demise, and time and time again all the guy does is win. Thiago Alves was expected by many UFC makers to knock the Canadian to the mat. Didn’t happen and now St. Pierre can claim the right to call himself one of the great UFC champs of all time.
But the UFC fight that everyone was dying to see was the heavyweight unification match between Frank Mir and UFC sensation Brock Lesnar. Lesnar put on a clinic taking Mir to the mat and beating him senseless before the match was stopped in the second round. No one expected Lesnar to win so decidedly and so quickly in what was supposed to be an evenly contested UFC event. In fact, in their previous meeting Mir had actually defeated Lesnar. Not this time.
The combination of these two matches plus the rest of the fantastic fights, including the UFC odds fight of the night between Yoshihiro Akiyama and Alan Belcher, made UFC 100 the greatest MMA fighting event in history.
