UFC Odds Preview: St Pierre Looks to Defend Title at UFC 124 …Again

January 14th, 2021 UFC Betting

The next UFC Odds Main Event will once again take place out of the US. In its ever expanding search for new global markets the UFC has certainly gone international this year when choosing venues for the Main Events –and not always to the benefit of fans.

But the UFC 124 Main Event is just heading north of the border and what more fitting place to hold this event featuring Canadian welterweight champion of the world, Georges St Pierre (GSP)?

The UFC betting events have been held in Canada for years where the sport enjoys a huge fan base.  In recent year the country has generally hosted several UFC betting Main Events and part of the success of this sport in Canada is a direct result of St Pierre’s dominance.

There are heaps of great fighters in the UFC action right now but there are two that are legendary.  Middleweight master Anderson Silva is one and St Pierre is the other.

In any MMA poll or ranking you run across online or in print there is a 110% chance that either one these two men are ranked #1 pound per pound fighter in the world and the other is ranked 2nd.

There simply isn’t anyone else on the same plain as these fighters and on December 11th at the Bell Center in Montreal sports fans will get to one of these masters in action.

St Pierre, a Quebec native, should have a huge group of fans at the event and have yet another advantage over his opponent Josh Koscheck.  Not that he’ll need it considering he’s already the overwhelming favorite in the UFC odds to win this match.

With a lifetime MME record of 20-2, GSP hasn’t lost a match since April of 2007, nearly four years ago.

He has 7 straight title defenses and beaten the best of the best in the welterweight division.  And he’ll have 8 straight successful defenses after UFC 124.

These two men fought once before at UFC 74 and the results were predictable.  St Pierre won an easy unanimous decision against Koshcheck.

The only thing that will be different this time is that it may be a TKO win instead of a decision, but make no mistake, GSP will be triumphant.
