UFC odds have been getting a lot of attention recently and a big reason why is that underdogs have more than held their own.
Usually in sports betting when you see a big underdog of 2-1 or more they have little chance to win. That is not the case in UFC betting odds.
UFC odds have become known as underdog odds where money can be made by taking the plus money. You should remember that in MMA that anyone can win with a lucky punch or kick. That makes taking underdogs in UFC odds an attractive proposition. In UFC betting odds you will oftentimes see fighters listed at odds of 2-1, 3-1 or more. They will be listed on money lines so you would see -200, -300 or -400 in those previous UFC odds examples. If you are going to bet favorites in UFC odds you would have to win a large percentage of your bets to make money. Conversely, if you take underdogs you don’t even have to win half of your bets to make money. That sounds pretty good in UFC betting odds doesn’t it?
The best place to look at underdogs in UFC odds is on the marquee events. These would be the Championship events like UFC 86, etc. The big name fights draw the most attention and that is where the underdogs have the most value in UFC odds. The time to look at favorites in UFC odds is probably on the lesser known fights where the superior fighter needs to win to make it up the ladder in the UFC. Overall though, you are best wagering on underdogs in UFC odds, regardless of the locale of the fights.
Another thing to keep in mind about UFC betting odds underdogs is that your bankroll doesn’t have to be as big. If you are consistently laying 2-1 or more then you need a larger bankroll in UFC odds. That is not the case in UFC odds if you are playing underdogs. You risk less and get paid more. That is a good situation if you hit a few winners in UFC odds.
