Understanding UFC Betting Odds at SBG Global

January 13th, 2021 UFC Betting

UFC betting odds are based on a money line similar to what you would see in baseball or hockey.

You are picking one fighter to beat the other fighter and either laying money or receiving plus money on the UFC  board. UFC betting odds take center stage when the UFC holds their main events where you will see a number of fights held. UFC odds will usually have one fighter a solid favorite over the other.

You might have the UFC odds of a heavy favorite at -300 or more. For example, you could have one fighter at -360 and the other fighter at +300 on the UFC odds board. In this UFC betting example you would have to risk $360 to win $100 or the 3.6/1 equivalent. You would win $300 for every $100 wagered in this UFC  example of the 3/1 equivalent.

UFC betting odds are interesting to follow and the fights are great to watch. UFC fights are held in what is called an Octagon. The reason they fights are held in an Octagon instead of a squared boxing ring is to avoid giving any fighter an advantage. Fighters don’t get trapped as easily in an Octagon and with a fence surrounding the Octagon, the fighters can’t get thrown out of fall out.

As you consider UFC odds you may want to know that the UFC does not have a ranking system. The weight classes have their own champion though, so you can look at those. The UFC actually analyzes the best styles and fighters and matches them together to produce the best fight for the fans. This also gives gamblers excellent UFC odds.

There are five weight classes in the UFC. There is the lightweight, welterweight, middleweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight. You will only see UFC betting odds where fighters face opponents in their own weight class. You will, however see fighters move up and down in class.

UFC betting odds give gamblers some excellent opportunities to make money. The marquee fights will also sometimes have addition UFC odds attached to them. It is possible you will see a UFC betting round option or an option for how the fight will end. This is similar in some respects to boxing although the UFC bouts don’t last nearly as long.
