Understanding UFC Betting at SBG Global

January 12th, 2021 UFC Betting

UFC betting does not involve a point spread but is based on money lines. UFC odds at sportsbooks will have one fighter favored over another. You will also see UFC options that include betting on how long the fight will last. UFC money lines are made by sportsbooks in an attempt to attract equal action on a fight.

It is similar to how oddsmakers make the line in other sports like football or baseball. Keep in mind that favorites don’t win every time in UFC. In fact, underdogs have more than held their own throughout the years in UFC. Let’s look at what the UFC odds might look like.

Fighter A (-150)
Fighter B (+130)

In this UFC betting example you would risk $150 to win $100 on Fighter A or the 15/10 equivalent. If you liked Fighter B you would risk $100 and win $130 if he won or the 10/13 equivalent. Money lines in UFC betting will continually change as gamblers bet one fighter or the other. You get whatever line you bet into though at the time you place your wager.

You will also see round options in UFC. The round option might be set a 2.5 or 3.5 rounds depending upon the bout. The UFC betting odds on the round option would also be on the money line. You might have the rounds set at 2.5 (over -120) in UFC odds. In this UFC betting example you would risk $120 to win $100 on the over or the 12/10 equivalent. You would get even money on the under in this UFC example.

UFC is available at sportsbooks on a regular basis. There are bouts listed every month of the year since the UFC has major events on a regular basis. You will see the marquee events listed and you may also see the undercards listed. You might also have the option of betting the cards that are put together for Spike TV on a regular basis. These are all available for the UFC at sportsbooks each month.
