Betting WNBA during the playoffs is no doubt an exciting time. Watching the two top teams duke it out for the title in any sport is the best time to watch emotions surge and sparks fly. This year in WNBA odds, the Indiana Fever and the Phoenix Mercury have duked it out for 4 games of 5 in the betting WNBA finals.
Betting WNBA Finals gave the Mercury a fighting chance last night as they came back to tie up the series 2-2. They had won the first game 120-116 in overtime. Down 105 to 102 with 7 seconds left on the clock, Katie Douglas came through for the Fever with a 3 point shot to tie up the game and take the two into betting WNBA OT. The Mercury ended up scoring another 15 points for gamblers in betting WNBA overtime to win the first game.
What followed were two more wins for the Fever, the second game of the WNBA odds series 93-84, and the third game went to Indiana 86-85. Last night would have secured the WNBA title for them, but in a 90-77 loss, Phoenix tied up the game and forced the playoffs into game 5 of betting WNBA finals.
A poor betting WNBA performance in the fourth quarter pretty much killed any chance the Fever had of recovering from their only 7 point deficit. Scoring a meager total of 12 points in the quarter, the third lowest 4th quarter total in the history of betting WNBA finals, they were unable to effectively come back in time to obtain their 3rd win in the series and take the championship.
The last time Phoenix won a betting WNBA championship was back in 2007 against the Detroit Shock. That final also went to game 5.
This is Indiana’s first appearance in the finals, as their furthest betting WNBA appearance in the playoffs was also back in 2007; however they only reached the Conference Finals. They were sent home by Detroit as the Shock moved forward to lose the WNBA odds final. So you know the Fever are going to fight their hardest to take home their first championship title, and they better fight hard because they’ll be away for this betting WNBA game.
On Friday, October 9th the Indiana Fever travel to the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona to take on the Phoenix Mercury for the 5th and final game of the 2009 WNBA Odds Finals.
