The NBA season may be behind us but online basketball betting fans can still get their fix by wagering on WNBA games. The WNBA doesn’t have the same promotion that its male counterpart does, but the competition is just as fierce, the highlights are just as entertaining, and the lines are just as alluring.

2017 WNBA Online Basketball Betting Season So Far

The 2017 WNBA season began on May 13th and will continue all the way up to September 3rd. The WNBA playoffs will then begin on September 7th. Last season saw the Los Angeles Sparks win the title, but most sports betting eyes have been watching the Minnesota Lynx this season.

The Lynx, who were last year’s runner-ups, are the lone remaining undefeated team, thanks to their pristine 9-0 record. A big part of Minnesota’s success can be attributed to Sylvia Fowles, the three-time and reigning WNBA Defensive Player of the Year. The Lynx are currently enjoying a 3-game lead over the Sparks in the Western Conference and will be looking to build upon that lead as the season progresses.

This Wednesday, online basketball betting players will be able to wager on the contest between the New York Liberty and the Connecticut Sun. The Liberty are coming off a highly successful 21-13 season that saw them finish 1st in the Eastern Conference. Liberty is currently poised for another playoff run; can they improve their postseason chances against Connecticut?

New York Liberty vs. Connecticut Sun – Wednesday, June 14th

When: 7:00 pm ET
Where: Mohegan Sun Arena
TV: Local Broadcasts

Sports Betting Odds:
New York Liberty   PK (-110)         161 (-110)      Pick’em
Connecticut Sun    PK (-110)        161 (-110)       Pick ’em

New York Liberty
As aforementioned, New York made the playoffs last season thanks to their 1st place finish in the East. The Liberty entered the postseason as the 3rd overall seed and was unable to advance past the Second Round where the Phoenix Mercury sent them packing 101-94.

As things currently stand, New York is sitting on a 6-3 record that ranks them 2nd in the East, 3-games behind conference-leading Washington. The Liberty enter Wednesday’s contest riding a 4-game win streak and will be looking to pick up their 5th straight over a much lower-ranking team. New York will face Connecticut once again on June 23rd.

Despite the Pick ’em sportsbook lines, New York will likely come away with this contest. Tina Charles has been leading the brigade for New York. Charles is averaging 20.4 points per game, as well as 9.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists per outing.

Connecticut Sun
The Sun finished with a meager 14-20 season that saw the franchise miss out on the playoffs once again. Connecticut will be looking to make the postseason this time around, but their current record suggests the Sun will fall short again.

Connecticut is currently sitting on a 3-5 record that ranks them 5th in the East, 4-games behind Washington and 1-game ahead of last-place Chicago. The Sun will turn to Jonquel Jones to lead them to an upset victory over New York. Jones is averaging 14.5 points, 12.8 rebounds, and 0.9 assists per game.
